Travel Edge Joins Ensemble, Linking Two Navigatr Companies
Travel Edge and the host agency Travel Edge Network have officially joined Ensemble Travel Group.
The two share the same parent company, Navigatr Group, after Ensemble's shareholders approved its acquisition by Nagivatr in May. The acquisition closed in June.
Travel Edge is a retail agency with an in-house team and is also home to the host agency Travel Edge Network.
"While it may at first seem logical for Travel Edge Network to join Ensemble, the reality is that we make decisions based solely on what is best for our luxury advisors, and we believe this is truly going to be a game changer for our network," said Nadiya Makarenko, senior vice president of the network. "With Ensemble's new leadership and a laser-focused vision on helping advisors elevate their craft with greater opportunities to maximize earnings, we are confident that being part of this new consortium will allow us to deliver tangible benefits and results to our network."
Previously, Travel Edge had been affiliated with Virtuoso, but Virtuoso terminated that membership in 2021. At the time, Travel Edge said it joined TripArc, which it said was a consortium. TripArc is a technology company also owned by Navigatr. Johnson recently said TripArc's focus is on "travel technology and procurement."
Michael Johnson, a past president of the host agency and formerly with Navigatr, is now Ensemble's president. Former CEO David Harris is now Ensemble's chair.
Jeff Willner is Navigatr's CEO.
"As a result of Ensemble's recent acquisition by Navigatr, it is poised to dramatically change the consortium landscape with new technology, enhanced marketing resources and a commitment to being a true business partner that is dedicated and focused on improving their margins and profitability," Johnson said in a statement.
Ensemble pointed to a number of benefits for Travel Edge members, including supplier partnerships, live events and marketing.
