Delhi NCR is a cultural hotspot waiting to be discovered by art enthusiasts. There is something for everyone with a wide range of exhibitions focusing on specific art topics. Whether you're interested in vintage collectables or less-explored Indian tribal art, NCR has it all.

Here's a list of the museums you should see while you're on a visit to the NCR. You may also plan your visit around seminars, and special exhibitions often mentioned on the museums' websites.

Museo Camera

Museo Camera, located in Gurugram, is said to be South East Asia's most prominent non-profit crowd-funded facility for photographic arts.

The various sections include a permanent collection gallery and a curated display tracing the progress of photographic technology from the 1850s. The visual journey will take you through photography's history. There's also an exhibition hall where you can see the work of various artists, as well as a dark room where you can practice the classic, analogue way of photography.

Sanskriti Museum

The museum showcases indigenous artistry and cultural customs. The Museums of Everyday Art, Indian Terracotta, and Textiles are good places to compare the traditional with the modern. The museum emphasises the socio-cultural background of the artefacts and is a resource for learning about India's public arts and crafts traditions.

The museum, which is located in Gurugram, also has an area called the "Sanskriti Kendra" (Learning Centre), which was created as a location to hold workshops, serve as a studio for young artists, and also serve as a central information hub for conducting in-depth research on the craft traditions of India.

Highlighting underappreciated pieces of art from India's folk and tribal tribes, the Museum of Folk & Tribal Art was established in 1984. There are unique collections of paintings, sculptures made of bronze, metal crafts, papier-mache, fabrics, terracotta objects, woodcrafts, and even books.

The museum's mission is to exhibit and preserve historical artefacts produced by court artists under royal patronage while providing art aficionados with a thorough experience in search of distinctive objects from tribal and folk societies that are sometimes absent from mainstream museums.
